Wearing the scarf doesn’t reduce my intelligence nor does it shadow my personality. It doesn’t make me less sociable, nor does it make me more narrow minded. It doesn’t motivate me to ignore anyone who isn’t a muslim, nor does it make me hate those who are unislamic. It doesn’t silent my voice, nor does it make me blind. It doesn’t make me less beautiful than what I would be without wearing one.

Its a scarf, for my God. I wear it to get closer to my God and to help it guide me to a righteous path of peace for patience and truth.

Its not there for you to judge. Wearing the scarf is not a hard thing to do. Covering your hair and getting people to see your personality is not a hard thing to do. But when society and people who aren’t in our position mock it, it looses its meaning thus becomes hard. So please don’t judge the next girl who wears a scarf. She is a person. And just like you she has her knowledge, she has her interests, she has her beauty.

To all my dear followers and everyone else on tumblr,

I hope 2013 brings everything you want. People say “oh its crazy how that year went by so fast” well no its not crazy, time will go fast if you don’t make every second and day count.

It will go fast if you dont fill every day with a ray of emotions, be it happiness, pain or fear. It will go fast if you don’t fill it with memories that you will hold till your hair grows white. It will go fast if you don’t find new places to go. It will go fast if you don’t prolong that moment where you found your happiness, be it short term, be it for a day, but if you held onto that moment, it would have felt forever and you wouldn’t recall it going fast.

So this year, travel places, roam your city, write on walls, use your time wisely and do everything and anything that makes you happy. Break the rules, make new friends, go to strange places because when it comes to the end of 2013 then you can say your year did not go “fast” and that it was full of moments. Full of timeless seconds. Full of spontaneous greatness.

I hope 2013 is your year.

We live,
like the sun and the seas, the stars and the flowers, like frost and snow ,rain and dew, hail storm and thunder,
in them there can be no too much or too little, nothing useless or inert.
Nothing it produces is obvious to reflect on what they insist on.

I plan to make this a habit every night before I go to bed.
